Close friends and quirky strangers,
Hello. This is my writing blog. I like to write, but I don’t like feeling forced into it. Having this blog will force me into it. So, really, what you’re witnessing is a sort of masochistic destruction of my inclination toward passivity. Sounds like fun? Sounds like fun!
Here’s how I envision this going:
1)I’ll write something for you, the reader, twice a week, each Thursday and Sunday.
2)You’ll, hopefully, read it.
3)You’ll, ideally, give me feedback (“Hey, that was great!” “Hated the ending” “You’re ruining poetry” etc. ad nauseum.) Oh, and if you do like any given post, I’d be grateful if you shared it on your various social networking accounts. It’s good for morale.
4)I’ll remain consistent with this until I have a solid collection of adequate-enough-to-be-displayed-on-the-internet-(which-is-really-not-saying-much-considering-some-of-the-things-I’ve-read-on-the-internet) stories that can be read by you, my children, your children, and our children’s children should they hit it off.
This whole ordeal is really mutually symbiotic (i.e. you read my blog, which feeds my desire to write consistently, and I write things for you, which provides you with weekly enjoyment), and thus I think we could have ourselves a really edifying time.
